Care work nurtures families, sustains economies and upholds human dignity.

 



In Sri Lanka, IOM Sri Lanka and Maldives has supported the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) operated Migrant Resource Centre (MRC) in Ratnapura which helps aspiring care workers in the country migrate safely and confidently. In February 2025, we strengthened caregiver boosting at the MRC by upgrading equipment to improve their practical, market-relevant skills, boosting employability at home and abroad.
